    Artist's Statement

I first became interested in photography through mylove of travel. Iuse the lens to capture the ethereal beauty of the landscapes that surround meand the people that inhabit them. My work is created with a strong sense of composition and has become increasingly influenced by the simplicity and the serenity of thought and form often found in Japanese and Chinese paintings. I am continuously developing my knowledge of printing and by doing so learning new techniques that allow me, not only to experiment, but to come closer to truly expressing my ideas through the photographic medium.
